Content Re-purposing and Your Solution
Covering several recent insights about using content again, why now is good for audiobooks, and learning to twang
If you are a writer who hasn't yet started your audio journey I wanted to ask you what's holding you back? What's one thing that's got you stumped? What's one thing that is confusing or overwhelming?
I'd love to hear from you and see if we can't fix that together to get you started on your journey.
2 Insights
Here are a couple of really good comments I've seen lately in articles (not on Substack).
The first one is:
“not only is content re-purposing on effective marketing approach but it also amplifies your contents impact by appealing to users with different learning styles (for example visual or auditory learners). You can reach an entirely new audience segment using previous published content”
One way to re-purpose content is by releasing your written article in audio form.

Another thing I like is from a book marketing company, with a report from Forbes, about authors needing to have an audiobook now. So if you're at least considering one now might be a good time.
Something Else
This is quite profound. It comes from an article by Ed LeBeau who writes at Heartland Golf Schools.
He says “let go of the idea that you are the problem. It's not you — your solution to the problem is the problem. It's the wrong solution, or is unnecessarily too complicated to perform with any consistency now.”
Ed is speaking of your golf swing, but I think it's profound because it applies to almost everything else in life.
Teasing
And here's a tease for an upcoming post on Monday about how I learn to improve my twang. Yes, my twang, from Vocal Molly.
I narrate westerns sometimes and am looking to improve the variety of character voices I do. Thanks in my next post.
I can’t wait to hear👂you,
Todd
