Sound - Making you sound great

The Essentials for Recording Good Audio - Part 5 of 5
The Essentials Series: Time | Terms | Tech | Space | Sound

Ahoy!

Glad you’re aboard…

One of the essentials of good sound is, well, the sound. We’ve gone over good microphones and treating your recording space already, now let’s talk about what we can do AFTER the recording is over to make it sound better.

Better?

Well, in many recording there appear some outside nose, some unwanted click, pops, cats purring, a leaf blower or some such.

Some sounds you can clean up, some maybe need re-recording.

Then we’ll talk about EQ or equalization, noise gates, fixing a S sound, and a bit more.

Enjoy the ToddCast.
